We are grateful to each of our grantee partners for the work they do to improve health in South Carolina. We have provided resources and information for managing your grant.

Communicating about Your Grant

We encourage the Grantee to reference support from the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation on the Grantee’s website, as well as relevant materials, documents, articles, publications, etc.  Contact the Foundation for appropriate logo usage and review of reference prior to publishing and dissemination.

Reporting on Your Grant

Your grant agreement includes reporting due dates which will be submitted online using the grantmaking portal. To gain access to the grantmaking portal, please access the account that was created when the application was submitted. This account is for the grant contact listed for the application. If the grant contact has changed during the grant period, please email your Program Officer, Bree Bess or Hannah Miner. The Foundation requests financial and progress reports for every grant to document how funds were used and to help us learn more about the accomplishments and challenges of the organizations we support. We also use the information in reports to identify successful strategies within each program area and to inform our future grantmaking. We value your experience and encourage open and honest communication in reporting both successes and challenges.

Payments on Your Grant

The schedule for grant payments is outlined in your grant agreement. Payments are approved after financial and progress reports are received and based on spend down rates. If at least 50 percent of the previous payment has not been spent down, grant payments will be held until the following report. If your payment was delayed and funds are spent down before your next financial report is due, please contact your Program Officer, Bree Bess or Hannah Miner, with an updated financial report to request the payment.

Please feel free to reach out to your Program Officer at any time if you need assistance or have questions. Foundation staff are happy to discuss budget change requests, grant end date extensions and troubleshoot issues that have arisen.
